Guided Heritage Walking Tours
Starts July 1st – Labour Day
Three choices or tours
10am – the River Route
2:30pm – The Capital City Circuit
5pm – The Garrison District
Tours are one hour long and depart from City Hall. Costumed guides will entertain you with local history and folklore as they take you on a free walking tour by some of downtown Fredericton’s finest sites.

River Trails Bike Rentals

Hop on a bike and explore downtown Fredericton’s River Side Trails! With your experienced guide, cycle through a rich tapestry of natural beauty and historic landmarks. Discover a loyalist cemetery and grand Victorian architecture.

Haunted Hike

Tours begin at the Coach House (796A Queen street)
This tour is distinct and exceptional featuring spine tingling frights and funny bone tickling gags. From Canada Day to Labour Day meet the ghosts of historic figures from Fredericton’s past on a lantern-lit tour through Downtown Fredericton. Its fun for the whole family where you meet several phantom thespians along the trail.

Croquet Match

Changing of the Guard
Start date July 12th, 2008
7 days a week at 11am and 4pm (Tuesday and Thursday additionally at 7pm)
With a flash of scarlet and a skirl of pipes, history comes to life! The Canadian Army was born in 1884 with the establishment of the Infantry School of Corps, Company “A” in Fredericton. Watch as period-dressed guard re-enact a drill ceremony to the beat of a piper and drummer. Maybe you will be selected to “inspect” the guard!

Officer's Square
An annual fundraiser for Samaria House who is a residential facility providing home and comfort for women who have been incarcerated or have been suffering from addictions or other life-controlling problems. This is the only house of its kind in Atlantic Canada.
Bard in the Barracks

Theatre UNB and the NotaBle Acts Theatre Company return with Bard in the Barracks, outdoor summer Shakespeare in Barracks Square. This year's production is As You Like It, one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies. In this festive, funny, and exuberant play, exiles from a corrupt regime take refuge in the fantastic Forest of Arden, where they find love, healing, and a simpler life. As You Like It is filled with music, witty clowns, fearsome wrestlers, stirring verse and one of Shakespeare's greatest love stories.
New this year is a 7:30 start time and grandstand seating to enhance the viewing experience. Tickets: $12 regular; $8 for students, available at the door or in advance at River Valley Crafts. The June 24th performance will be pay-what-you-can.

Fredericton Civic Pride
Celebrate Canada's birthday at the nation's biggest neighborhood block party. A full day of fun kicks off at noon on The Green, along Pointe-Sainte Anne Boulevard and in Officers' Square with activites for the whole family, entertainment on two stages, great food on site, the Canada Day Parade, and fireworks at dusk. The Parade this year is a green parade- no gas powered vehicles allowed (except Hybrid cars)

Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival
