Downtown Fredericton Inc. Install Poster Boards

Downtown Fredericton Inc. is pleased to announce the installation of five poster boards in the downtown area.

“We wanted to ensure local promoters have a chance to inform the public of their events- having these five poster boards will give them a chance to do so. The boards will also act as a guaranteed place for locals and visitors alike to find out all that our city has to offer.” Linda Pond, President of Downtown Fredericton Inc.

With help from the City’s engineering and public works department, Downtown Fredericton Inc. placed the poster boards in five high traffic areas while still maintaining the function and safety of the sidewalks. The poster boards can be found at the corner of Queen and Carleton (In front of The Sports Hall of Fame), the corner of York and Queen (In front of Tony’s Music Box), King Place (in front of Second Cup), corner of Brunswick and Carleton, and King St. next to Quiznos.

“We are very pleased with the outcome of this project. Downtown Fredericton Inc. feels that taking on a project that not only helps with the beautification of our downtown but facilitates promoters and event coordinators by offering free advertising space in high traffic areas can only help with the growth of our downtown.” Bruce McCormack General Manager of Downtown Fredericton Inc.

"Having downtown Fredericton business and the City of Fredericton take interest in this issue has been exciting for us, we appreciate what this means. This should not just benefit us and others that do what we do, but also shows that our community is now behind us- that is all we ever wanted." James Boyle, local promoter.

Downtown Fredericton Inc. will have the boards
cleaned off every 2nd & 4th Monday of the month.
