Fredericton Tourism to Recognize Outstanding Individuals

AWARDS CEREMONY TO RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING
INDIVIDUALS IN TOURISM INDUSTRY
Fredericton --- The 17th Annual Above & Beyond Awards Reception will be held Thursday, November 8th, 7pm at City Hall Council Chambers. The long running program, operated by Fredericton Tourism, recognizes those in the local tourism industry who have gone above and beyond to make visitors feel welcome in the province’s capital.
Each year staff of local accommodations, attractions, restaurants, business, as well as local residents extending a warm welcome, are nominated by visitors who complete an Above & Beyond nomination. Nomination cards have been widely available throughout Fredericton’s hospitality industry as well as on Fredericton Tourism’s website.
A total 49 nominations were received for the 2007 season. The nominees have been invited to the reception, which will be hosted by Mayor Brad Woodside. A selection committee has reviewed the nominations and chosen 2 award winners who will have the chance to win either a $250 shopping spree from the Regent Mall or a martini tasting for 6 from the blue door, valued at $200.
