Fredericton Police Encourage Public To Register Their Bicycles
The Fredericton Police Force are encouraging the public to register their bicycles at the Force's satellite offices located at 30 Hughes Street and 643 McLeod Ave., or at their Headquarters situated at 311 Queen St. The two satellite offices house the Force's Neighbourhood Action Teams and are staffed full time between 8:30 a.m and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Upon arrival to register a bicycle, the owner is asked to bring two pieces of identification and the serial number on the bike being registered. A numbered sticker will be placed on the bicycle and the registration information will be added to Police Force's bicycle registry. For the
Fredericton Police Force, the two primary reasons for them to encourage the public to register their bicycles are….1) To assist with the return of a found bicycle & 2) To reduce the number of bicycle thefts from occurring.
