Downtown Fredericton To Hold First Annual Christmas Cash Drop

Be part of the action as Downtown Fredericton Inc. holds the first ever Downtown Fredericton Christmas Cash Drop Friday, December 5th outside City Hall. With the help of the Fredericton City Fire Department’s 75foot snorkel truck, Downtown Fredericton Inc will launch over $2,000 in downtown dollars and Christmas coupons from the air down into the crowd below.

Robert Martin, Assistant Deputy Chief of Operations with the Fredericton Fire Department couldn’t be happier with the Departments involvement; “Anytime that you can have money dropping from the sky we want to be there! The department wants to invite everyone downtown next to the big truck and watch it snow dollars in this great city of Fredericton.” Bruce McCormack, General Manager of Downtown Fredericton Inc echoes Martin’s enthusiasm for the event. “This Christmas Cash Drop will be a fun activity and a great way to promote the many independent businesses downtown” said McCormack, “this is our way to promote shopping locally this Christmas.”

The first annual Christmas Cash Drop will take place in front of City Hall, Friday, December 5th at 8:00pm directly following the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. Downtown Dollars are good to use at any participating business in downtown Fredericton and act just like cash. Catch them, grab them, spend them and enjoy the holiday season courtesy of the businesses of Downtown Fredericton!
