Harvest Announces New Headliner

The Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival, after the loss of blues singer Koko Taylor, announced that slide guitar great Elvin Bishop will inherit her spot as headliner. Bishop will be performing Friday September 18th, in the Historic Garrison District. Bishop’s career spans four decades, and he has played alongside such guitar greats as B.B. King and the Allman Brothers. His most memorable single, “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” was featured in the 2008 movie Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.

Tickets for this year’s Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival go on sale Saturday, July 18th at 8:30am and are available online at www.harvestjazzandblues.com, toll free at 1-888-NB-BLUES or in the Festival store at 81 Regent Street in Fredericton.
