Posts installed downtown

The City of Fredericton and Downtown Fredericton Inc. have teamed up to install posts downtown in order to drape colourful banners to advertise special city events or activities, such as the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.
Concrete is being poured this week for six sign posts in the Historic Garrison District on Queen Street. Four poles will be located in The Tannery on King Street.
The city will also install a pole at the Nashwaaksis Commons.
Two-metre high banners have already been hung in the downtown area to promote the city's designation as a Cultural Capital of Canada.
