Downtown Fredericton Inc. President Mark LeBlanc speaks on the motivation behind The Good Night Shuttle. “Downtown Fredericton Inc. is pleased to be involved with this special pilot project. We feel that The Good Night Shuttle will have a positive impact not only on the downtown but also on the neighborhoods to our south. Downtown Fredericton Inc. Security Committee has put together an overall plan to help make the Downtown a safer place. This plan includes a number of components including additional lighting, additional police foot patrols, a video surveillance camera, a media campaign- “Turn it up”, and a bus shuttle to help accelerate the movement of bar patrons from downtown to their residences. The Good Night Shuttle is one of the last components to be implemented. We are confident that together, all of these components will add to a safer downtown”.
