New Brunswick Fine Craft Festival
August 24, 2007
FINE CRAFT HITS FREDERICTON!
Fine craft, live craft demonstrations, great food and prizes. All of this and much more is available Labour Day weekend at Officer's (August 31st – September 2nd). The New Brunswick Crafts Council is hosting its annual New Brunswick Fine Craft Festival, an event filled with craft from the province’s finest and most acclaimed craftspeople.
Bring the kids out for face-painting and the children's craft tent, where they can participate in craft activities led by trained instructors. Under the children’s craft tent, there will be “studios” in beading, textiles, surface design, and pottery. Families can then browse the grounds and enjoy live demonstrations in wood-working, pottery, weaving, and surface design offered by professional craftspeople throughout the entire weekend. These hands-on experiences make this festival an educational experience unlike any other.
The festival also features live entertainment showcasing a different local band every day; Friday see Dub Antenna or stop by Saturday to see VETCH perform throughout the day. Then return on Sunday to watch participating craftsperson Tim Isaac close out the festival with his band Isaac and Blewitt!
Don't miss out on this incredible event held in the heart of the city’s beautiful downtown core!
