New Executive Director for Downtown Fredericton Inc. Announced

April 11, 2024 – Downtown Fredericton Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Peabody to the position of Executive Director.

Peabody is a long-time contributor to Fredericton’s business ecosystem. He brings over a decade of experience leading change and driving results for businesses and communities in Canada and internationally.

Working most recently as the Director of Ecosystem Development at Stiletto: Make a Point, Adam has excelled as a strategist and as an economic development practitioner. He has successfully advanced strategic initiatives in entrepreneurship, innovation, export, foreign direct investment, experiential learning, and immigration in various roles at Ignite Fredericton, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, and Planet Hatch.

“Adam’s work with economic development, entrepreneurship and small business as well as his leadership skills and community involvement are all valuable assets for our business improvement area” says DFI President Mike Babineau. “His vision for what we can achieve in downtown Fredericton aligns with our organization’s goals, and we are looking forward to having him on board.”

A graduate of Bishop’s University and the Wallace McCain Institute, Adam is an engaged community member. He has taught entrepreneurship at the University of New Brunswick and served on the boards of The Order of the Wallace McCain Institute, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, The Ville Cooperative and as national special advisor to Global Vision.
